I LOVE IT!!!!! I do have some seasonal apparel! Pajamas, cozy socks, and a couple Halloween shirts- one is a tank top and one is a tshirt. I also have my spooky Halloween hair clip which I'll be sporting for the next nine days.
I used to have some seasonal stuff here and there when I was teaching, but not anymore. I always wonder how purple got to be a Halloweeny colour. Hmmm.
I looked it up and I guess the origins of purple as a Halloween color are unclear. But! Some sources believe it's included in the Halloween palette because it's often associated with magic and witchcraft. According to legend, for instance, a purple door is sometimes used to mark the home of a witch. So...maybe that?
I have an orange blouse that I pair with black jeans for Halloween. I have a very small bin of Halloween decorations that I haven't even hauled up from the basement. I don't have enough to provide a WOW factor, so sometimes I just don't bother. No one is missing it. No Halloween socks, but I think yours are really cute. I have a Santa shirt, but it has a dangly glittery beard made of tiny jewels that needs a repair so I haven't worn it for years. I keep thinking I'll repair it, but it might never happen.
I have an orange pumpkin scarf I sometimes wear this time of year. I'll pair it with my orange/rust pants and a black shirt and call it good. Outside of socks, I have very limited festive apparel!
I adore your sock collection. Cute cute. I have no seasonal apparel other than certain colors lend themselves to particular holidays so I wear those colors on the holiday.
I like your attitude. We really shouldn't have clothes we can only wear for a brief celebratory period of time - it is pretty wasteful if you think about it.
Fun! I don't have anything for Halloween except a candy corn necklace that I wear in the library if I'm there on Halloween. I'm not sure I have anything for Christmas either, now that I think of it. Am I a stick in the mud? Perhaps I am.
NO!! I think it's the environmentally conscious thing to do. Having items of clothing to wear for just a small period of time is not necessary to a lovely life!
That's an adorable stash! (Do you put out your socks for the week every week? That's a level of planning I'll never even aspire to... I always wanted to have those underpants with the days of the week on them, but I'd have been so terrible keeping them in order...)
Ha ha ha ha! NO!! I was getting the socks out of the bin that they live in (in the guest room closet) and was piling them up on the bed to do a quick count. That's the only reason they're laid out like that. I won't even wear socks every day this week!
MAYA! In my youth, I had days of the week bikini underwear (Fridays were red; Saturdays were black; Sundays were white LOL). I always wore them in order because WHAT IF I ENDED UP IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM WITH THE WRONG UNDERWEAR?! (Among other embarrassing situations...)
This makes me laugh... I think I have one pair of Christmas socks and maybe a winter sweater but other than that nothing truly seasonal. You are definitely much more in the mood than me.
CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteThanks. People area always sending me seasonal socks!

ReplyDeleteYou are IN THE SPIRIT!!

Right? Was there a reason, or did someone just think it kind of goes with orange and black?

DeleteYou'll be glad to know that my sons wear their Christmas boxers year round. And, sadly, to shreds.

DeleteNance--I am smiling out loud here! At the time I wanted that set, ER personnel would have been the only people to ever see me in my underpants HAHAHA
DeleteCute collection. About the only wearable seasonal items that I have are a few pairs of Christmas socks.
ReplyDeleteSocks are my seasonal weakness, too. They're fun, but subtle.
DeleteFun. Not much seasonal apparel for me; however, I do have grandfather socks.
ReplyDeleteSocks are the only real way my husband can have fun with his outfits.
DeleteSocks are fun. They can be crazy but not all that visible or obtrusive.
ReplyDeleteYES! This is the brilliance of fun socks.
DeleteSo cute! I don't have any holiday specific clothing. I do have some Totoro socks, but that's about it. Boring!
ReplyDeleteIt's not boring - it's responsible! I probably shouldn't have so many socks I can wear for only a few weeks a year.
DeleteLove it. I do not own seasonal apparel but live vicariously through others :)
ReplyDeleteHey, San, you're welcome to my vicarious life.
DeleteThose are so fun! I do not own any seasonal apparel! Socks would be a good place to start, though!
ReplyDeleteSocks (and scarves) are an easy entry point in my world!
DeleteSuch cute socks! I don't have any seasonal apparel, but I do have a bunch of pins for every occasion!
ReplyDeleteSo the pins are your seasonal apparel!
DeleteI'm wearing flamingo socks today, but those are pretty much all-season footwear.
