5.2 Entertainment - Album Cover Design

Bestest Friend and I are doing a blog project. Each day we will write a blog post on a pre-determined them chosen by a random noun generator. The theme for the second day of the month is "Entertainment."

****************

It was so warm yesterday. All of the snow is melted, but don't worry because there's more on the forecast for later this week. I wanted Hannah to run around in an empty field by our house, but instead she just wanted to roll around in scat, so she ended up walking around in sedate circles on a leash with me, so that was a disappointment to us both. I entertained myself by making her do photo shoots like you do when you're alone with your pets. I then turned this one into a country music album cover because you have to find enjoyment in your life where you can.

Howlin' Hannah will be appearing at the Lutheran Church by our house on Sunday mornings when the church bells toll for actual minutes straight. She can't help but join in with the song of her people.

What's the name of your pet's next musical release?

  1. What a cute album cover! You've got me thinking about Scout and Huck's musical release... Have you seen that video of the three Borzois in chorus?

    1. I hadn't seen that video, but I just looked it up. How do you end with three loud dogs like that?! Ha ha ha. Generally Hannah is pretty quiet and rarely barks, so that would make me insane!

  2. Howling Hannah! I love it! Gypsy's would be "Can't Stop Yapping!"

    1. Ha ha ha. Poor Gypsy! She's getting a bad reputation.

  3. Rolling around in scat, the favorite pastime of dogs everywhere. My husband gives all of the dog baths in our house, and when it's just me and the dog on a walk, she hardly ever rolls. When he's along on the walks, it's like her mission in life is to find all of the stinky things and roll in them.

    1. Hannah can't help herself, I guess. My husband had the car, so I couldn't just take her over to the dog wash. Otherwise, I *might* have let her do it because, to be honest, I'm SO EXCITED that she's healthy enough to roll around. There were months and months when her back hurt so badly all the time she just couldn't. So now when she behaves like a regular dog, I tend to just enjoy it. But I don't like the stench.

  4. Hannah is awfully photogenic. She looks far more contemplative and intense than your title would indicate.

I stopped off to see my granddog Zydrunas yesterday before I began my walk in earnest. He immediately stomped in his own poop. Needless to say, it became a short visit.

    1. Why are dogs so weird about poop?! Why?!

  5. This gave me a good laugh. Hannah will no doubt sell out all her concerts! Make sure you have lots of merch ready for her fans!

    1. Merch ideas! Do you think her fans mostly want clothing, CDs, tote bags, or posters?

    2. All of the above. Plus Hannah-branded dog waste bags, bandanas, collars, leashes. Put that girl on a billboard!

  6. Inlaws had a dog that would like to howl along while we sang. That was fun.

    1. Hannah does not care for people singing. She folds down her ears and looks awfully concerned. Ha! I love it when dogs join in on the musical fun.

  7. Maggie's album would either be "What Have You Done For Me Lately?" or "Figure Out What I Want and Give It To Me Now!"

  8. Gah! You can see grass! I don't think we will see grass until mid-April... We have probably at least a foot of snow on the ground here. We got more on Wednesday and will get more on Sun/Mon. At this point, Phil is hoping for a record snowfall year. He figures we might as well set a record. I think we need 20" to hit the record and that is definitely possibly since we can get big snowfalls in Mar/Apr.

Oscar's album would be an emo type of album titled, "leave me alone"

    1. Yes, the snow is all gone now. It was SO WARM here that it basically all melted in the span of twelve hours. We have not had a good winter in terms of keeping a layer of snow and I'm actually a bit concerned for farmers because the fields have not had a good fallow season. At this point, it's warm enough during the days that I'm pretty sure any additional snowfall we get will be melted within a day or two, so winter is on its way out, although we all know that March and April snowfalls can happen!

  9. That's an album I would buy!
Peanut The Whiner....it's a song I hear occasionally!

  10. Hahaha, I love this so much! Sometimes the pictures I take where both of my cats are looking at the camera look like album covers. They're into Heavy Meowtal, if you can believe that!

  11. I love it. Love. It. Only Hannah would secretly record her country album and have her person design the album cover. When does the world tour start? ;)
