Cool Bloggers Walking Club - Week 3

It is time for another round of Cool Bloggers Walking Club (CBWC), as organized by Elisabeth. Try to walk ten minutes day and show us where you've been!

Happy Easter!!!

Sunday, April 13
49-minute morning walk with Hannah
38-minute afternoon walk with Hannah

Monday, April 14
36-minute morning walk with Hannah
32-minute walk with Hannah before bed

Tuesday, April 15
35-minute morning walk with Hannah - It was windy and grey this morning and Hannah was a real baby about this walk.
30-minute walk with Hannah after work
20-minute walk with Hannah before bed - We saw deer on our walk! It's unusual for us to see deer outside of our park, but there they were. Hannah didn't bark or anything, just went into full pointer mode with one paw lifted and her tail straight out, watching them very carefully.

Wednesday, April 16
36-minute morning walk with Hannah
43-minute walk with Hannah after work - What a GORGEOUS afternoon. Sunny, 55, no wind. We were in love.
24-minute walk with Hannah before bed - Remember the gorgeous afternoon? Gone. It was windy and the temperature dropped like a thousand degrees. Boo.

Thursday, April 17
34-minute morning walk with Hannah - Terrible weather. It was cold and spitting rain. The advantage of that is that no one else was fool enough to be on a walk, so I was able to give Hannah some off leash time.
35-minute walk with Hannah after work - This was GLORIOUS. It was sunny and 55. Not too much wind. I can't even tell you how much we enjoyed this walk.

Friday, April 18
42-minute morning walk with Hannah - It was actually pretty nice when we were walking, but we got inside about ten minutes before all hell exploded outside in the form of a thunderstorm with hail. April showers indeed.
37-minute walk with Hannah after work - The temperatures skyrocketed in the high 60s and it was muggy and, to be honest, both of us were unhappy with this state of affairs.
17-minute walk with Hannah before bed - We were dodging raindrops, but that's okay, right?

Saturday, April 19
38-minute morning walk with Hannah
32-minute afternoon walk with Hannah and Dr. BB - Another family walk! It was a LOVELY Saturday afternoon and we all had a good time. Rain is forecasted for the next REST OF OUR LIVES, so we definitely tried to get out there and enjoy it.

Has spring popped in your neck of the woods? Do you ever see any critters on your walks?

  1. Hanna is good for you, I think.

    1. Indeed. I think everyone should have a dog.

  2. I love it when the dogs go into "pointer" mode.

I never noticed that Hannah has white tipped paws before, so I will share one of the many nicknames that I have for my white footed dog. We call her "Frosty Toes".

    1. I will try to get a better photo of Hannah's feet for you. She's definitely a frosty toed beauty.

  3. I love the way you recount the weather, ha. I see a ton of deer and rabbits on my walks, not to mention the occasional raccoon. Except on those mornings when I drive into town and walk along the river. Usually just a whole bunch o' ducks then.

    1. The weather is crucial to a recounting of these walks. You need to know if I'm wet or freezing. It adds to the specificity of the thing.

    2. I love it because I've lived it too!

  5. Ha, sounds like spring in the midwest! Just the way I remember it. Nice job getting out there, rain or shine (and special congrats to Hannah for being such a good sport.)

    1. Hannah is not always a good sport, Jenny, but she really is most of the time. I adore her.

  6. I saw the horrific weather in Wisconsin (hail! freezing rain! wet snow!) because it was so awful it was mentioned on the national news. I immediately thought of you and Hannah. Then, of course, I thought, "Keep it over there, Wisconsin! We don't want any!"

There was Zero Walking done here. I had a five-day migraine, thanks to the shitful weather changes (constant!), and had to get a steroid blast. I mainly commandeered Rick's recliner and felt sorry and angry and miserable.

  7. Ugh we've had similar weather here. I'm so tired of the cold and wind! It has been such a cold, windy spring here in Minnesota. I was able to get out for walk/run combos Fri-Sun though so that was nice. But I had to wear a headband and gloves since it was so chilly. I saw a turkey on one of my runs. Will and I saw a pack of about 5 of them the week before which he got a kick out of!

  8. The weather is GETTING TO ME. Seriously, is it always this crazy in April. We had so much wind yesterday and a downpour...and then sunshine in the afternoon. I feel like we get a week of weather in a day right now and I just want a stretch of like 10 days of warm, sunny weather. Is that too much to ask???

  9. The weather sounds really tough. Specially in the mornings it's gonna be hard to put on those shoes.
We had some great sunshine during the week but then towards the holidays it started raining. However There was time to sit outside the last couple of days towards the sunset. Spring is definitely here.

  10. Awww, Hannah is such a beauty! Your weather sounds like ours - you can have all the weather conditions in one day! You have to be prepared for anything! Lately, I'm enjoying seeing all the birds coming back. We have some nice Sandhill Cranes walking around in the field, and they're really cool.
