10.16 Beauty - The Coffee Shop

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the sixteenth day of each month is "Beauty."
We are tea drinkers. Every morning Dr. BB makes tea while I shower and get dressed and after breakfast we work together to make travel mugs of tea to take with us to our first classes of the morning.  I have an electric kettle* in my office at school that I use to make "teafills" throughout the day.

But that doesn't mean that I don't have an occasional hankering for a mocha (with a shot of caramel) or an iced coffee (with a shot of caramel).

Let me set the scene for you: This morning I woke up clutching toilet paper in my hand because we ran out of Kleenex yesterday, my throat was dry from mouth breathing all night long, and I nearly hacked up a lung in the shower. Dr. BB is not in much better shape, although he appears to have somehow arranged to avoid the splitting headache that makes me want to hurl whenever I move my head suddenly. I force myself to get dressed, eat breakfast, and even make it to my office, but I know that in order to make it through the day, I need something else.
I nearly wept with gratitude when the barista handed me my drink.  And then I went to Walgreens and bought Tylenol Cold & Flu SEVERE and two hours later I could finally move my head painlessly.

*As always, no affiliate links used. I swear I use this thing daily and I paid for it with my own money. Errr...I think maybe it was a wedding gift, so someone I know and love paid for it with his or her own money and gave it to us.
