8.8 Love - Actions, not Feelings

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the eighth day of each month is "Love."

Each day he awakes
Puts the kettle on to heat
Makes my honeyed tea

Puts dishes away
Brushes the queen of kitties
Bleaches the counters

All of this before
I have stumbled out of bed
Ready for the day

He brushes off words
Of gratitude and pleasure
Knowing this is love

Not words or touches
Not keeping score or secrets
Not showy or loud

It is the hard work
Of small day to day actions
That show you true love
