As you know, I spent a couple of days with Bestest Friend in Chicago.
We ate food.
We drank beverages that we paid way too much for.
We went to a museum.
But, I think we can all agree that the most important thing I did was get my nose pierced. I've wanted to do it for years, but there's no time like the present, right?
We spent a lot of time on the bus. Fortunately the weather during the day was perfect. It was not so perfect at night, but who cares? We were tucked away in our Air BnB.

ReplyDeleteI have been to Chicago, but it was a work trip. I was with colleagues, one of whom - Warren - lived in Chicago for several years. He gave me the history of the city in detail, every chance he got. IN DETAIL. I don't actually remember a lot of what he said, except that any time there was a conversation he would be like "Well, the first Mayor Daly..." and then there would be this very long explanation about...I don't know what? The trains? I have no idea. It is lost to the sands of time. What I do remember in detail was that Warren suggested we (me, him, and our male boss) go to a tapas bar for dinner and I thought he said TOPLESS bar, hilarity ensued.
