This is what my holiday card display looked like last year before I took it down.
We just have some braided ribbon hanging there and the only way we have them staying in place is with a couple of Command hooks on the corners of the doorway.
The ribbon is knotted together three or four times and there are knots on both ends.
What it looks like before any cards are added to it.
We add the cards with tiny clothespins!
And that's it.
How do you display your cards?

Love it! We tape the cards to our kitchen cupboards so that we get holiday cheer when we're in the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a great system. Right now, I just lean them up on a shelf in our dining room. I'm jealous of yours. I'm trying to think where I could recreate something like that?
ReplyDeleteYears ago I did what Birchie mentions; I used tape to put them up on our cupboard doors and that was fun!
And I remember reading about someone who had a card tree (artificial). It was in her dining room and she put all the cards on the tree as the ornaments. I've never done it, but thought it was a fun idea!
I love your system! I need to try something like that next year. I tape up a strip of wide ribbons on a wall in our kitchen and then tape the cards to it. I didn’t last year because the year before Will kept pulling on it when he looked at cards and it fell down. He doesn’t mess with things as much these days so I am trying it again!
ReplyDeleteI love it- the ribbons are pretty. You get a LOT of cards! My card display is on a wall of our living room. I also use command hooks to put up a strand of white lights, then I clip the cards to it with little Christmas-y clothespins.
ReplyDeleteOooh I love that display! My cards are on any flat surface I can find - coffee table, countertop, piano, end table. The result is less cohesive but still joyful!
