That is Sydney, my SIL's dog. She's four months old, weighs five pounds, and is soooo sweet. My FIL (who might I remind everyone once told us to we could bring Hannah and then told us she had to stay in the garage) let her come to Christmas. I am not sure how I feel about that, but I KNOW I feel happy I got to hang out with her. She's SO SOFT and has the cutest puppy bows. Also, puppies are exhausting.
I love it! Was Zelda very excited by all the festivities? Muffin was right in the middle of things all day long (Charlotte hid in the closet.) Merry Christmas!
Hannah and Zelda could care less about any of it. They both slept while we opened our presents. They are too cool for Christmas! Merry Christmas to you!
These are some great pictures. I was also wondering WHO GOT A PUPPY? I read your response above, so I now understand. For a minute, I thought maybe Santa brought a puppy to one of your relatives. Interesting how that puppy wasn't left in a garage. Hmm.
Hannah was so resentful of the tie! She kept trying to bite it and I have to admit, I laughed a lot. It's our fault because we don't have her practice wearing clothes until I want a photo.
This is so fun and festive, Engie. And I love that the pets have gotten in on the Christmas cheer (though both look slightly grumpy about being included).
Oh poor Hannah in her tie! Mulder was OK with a tie, but anything else he hated. The day we first met him was at a Barktoberfest put on by the rescue, and he had just arrived the night before and was being fostered by the woman who was hosting the party. All of the other dogs were dressed in costumes. She sewed Peter Pan costumes for her 3 dogs. One had lost a leg when he was hurt in a car accident (riding in the back of a truck), so he was obviously Captain Hook. One was another character whose name eludes me now. And Mulder was a lost boy, which goodness, he WAS a lost boy that day. Anyway, by the time we got there he had pouted enough that they took his costume off, so we didn't see him in it, except for in pictures later. It just goes to show that not ALL dogs hate wearing clothes.
Anyway, back to Hannah, I'm sorry she had to wear that (and I would have done it too, so cute!). What breed is the puppy? Aussie? SO CUTE! Zelda looks regal and not the least bit radioactive.
I like how you display your cards...maybe I'll try that next year. We always tape them to a closet door, and they often fall down (though not much this year for some reason).
I appreciate Mulder's spunk. No, thank you, I will not wear clothes. I am a dog who doesn't NEED CLOTHES.
That puppy is a mini Aussie. It's some backyard breeder shit and I have thoughts about it, but what can you do? She's so cute and sweet and I wanted to dognap her, but I think my SIL would have noticed. (Also, no, no, I wasn't going to dognap her. PUPPIES ARE SO MUCH WORK. I was responsible for her for literally ten minutes and was running out of "how to entertain dogs" tricks.)
I should maybe put up a post about how we hang those cards up. We have two pretty thick ribbons (one green, one red - 2.5 inches each) twisted together and tied in knots. We have two of those Command hooks at the top of each corner of the doorway and that's it. We use teeny tiny clothespins to put up the cards. It's remarkably simple and it has (KNOCK ON WOOD) never fallen down.
Zelda looks gorgeous next to the buffalo plaid tree skirt! What a beauty! I love how you display your holiday cards. I need to do something like that next year. I had taped them up on a ribbon in past Decembers but then they would always fall down so this year I didn't find a different solution... that is something to tackle next November.
Merry Christmas!!! Whose puppy is that???

ReplyDeleteNo garage for Sydney. I have FEEEEEELINGS about this, but mostly adoration for that tiny creature.
DeleteWell, isn't that an adorable little puppy! And Hannah looks so stylish with her red tie!

DeleteWhat it was, was good.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely delightful indeed!
DeleteZelda looks quite well! And that PUPPERS! Hannah wonders why SHE had to wear a necktie and not a tiara. LOL
ReplyDeleteOoohhh...that is an excellent idea, Nance. I'll have to work on headwear for Hannah for next year!
DeleteI love the display of cards above the doorway! That is really creative!
ReplyDeleteWe've done it every year since we moved to Wisconsin. It's a fun tradition!
DeleteI like your card display too. We taped ours to a closet door, but this is a much better idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's a fun way to display all the cards we get and I love it!
DeleteThese photos are so fun and festive! And a PUPPY! Extra fun!
ReplyDeleteThe puppy was very well cared for! Everyone wanted some time with her.

ReplyDeleteHa! Neither of them cares for getting their photos taken, but I must document their every moment!! If it's not on the blog, it didn't happen.

Love all the festive pets in this post, including the PUPPY! What an adorable doggo. Looks like a very merry Christmas to me!
ReplyDeleteIt was an absolutely delightful day!

ReplyDeleteI have tiny clothespins to hold the cards to the ribbon. That's the secret!
DeleteIt looks like you had a festive time! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteIt was a much needed day of fun!
DeleteMerry belated Christmas! That puppy is just AHHH! And Zelda, of course, she is a queen of kitties.
ReplyDeleteZelda is queen of everything. Just ask her!
