8.28 Meaning - A Cat's Life

Bestest Friend and I are doing a blog project. Each day we will write a blog post on a pre-determined theme chosen by a random noun generator. The theme for the twenty-eighth day of the month is "Meaning."

********************

What does it mean to be a cat?

What's the best way to be a cat?

Don't you want to be a cat?

  1. I feel cats know they're cats. Do dogs know they're dogs? Do they feel like differently-abled humans?

    1. I think my dog thinks she's a differently-abled cat. I mean, the cat's obviously in charge.

  5. I have often wished to be a pampered house cat--I like to be specific so if the fates are listening, I haven't just said "a cat" and end up a stray in an alley. Yes, I know. Like this is going to happen.

    1. Well, the Fates are fickle, so it's best to hedge your bets and random comments made on the internet.

  7. Yep, cats have a pretty good life! Sometimes when I'm lying on the couch reading, and I start to get drowsy and let myself drift off to sleep, I think "this must be what it feels like to be a cat." I love the Zelda photos!

    1. I'm trying to incorporate more Zelda content, at your request. The thing is that basically Zelda sleeps and yowls for food, so getting that content has been a real challenge to my creativity.

  9. Yes, I would like to be a well loved house cat. I would also like to rub my face on Zelda's soft belly. She is so fluffy.

    1. I would also like to rub my face on Zelda's belly. Unfortunately for us, Zelda would murderize us both with her claws and teeth if we tried such an uncouth thing. Look but don't touch is her belly mantra.

  15. I've often had the thought that, if one is good in this life (helping others, being kind, etc) one is allowed to come back in the next life as a pampered housecat. I'm working towards this nextlife goal! :)
