Things Making My Life Easier

Things are challenging right now. Dr. BB is unable to really help out around the house or with the cat and the dog, so all the chores fall to me. Basically this means I'm exhausted all the time. That's fine, really, because it's temporary, but in the meantime, here are three thing that I'm overly reliant right now.

Helping Hands Hand Cream from Lush. One of the chores Dr.BB usually does is dishes. I have eczema on my hands and keeping my hands dried and moisturized is a top priority in my life or else these breakouts happen on my hands and they crack and bleed and it's a disaster. But, in this situation, I am in charge of dishes and in order to keep my hands in relatively decent shape, I need to moisturize and moisturize some more.

But most moisturizers actually make the problem worse.  Most of the time, I have some sort of reaction to the lotion and it actually exacerbates my eczema. So at night, I put the steroid cream on my hand on any breakouts and then slather Helping Hands on the rest of my hands. I then put on cotton gloves and sleep with them covered all night. My hands are in great shape.

This stuff is pretty price. ($21.95 for 3.5 ounces) and the nearest Lush from our house is approximately a million miles away, but it's worth it to me to stock up on this stuff whenever I am near a Lush store. It's intended for use for people who wash their hands a lot (nurses, waitstaff, etc.) and it's about as scent-free as anything you can buy from Lush.  It's literally the only product I but from the store, and I highly recommend it if your skin is super sensitive.
So part of the reason I'm so tired all the time is because our dog requires constant walking.  This means I'm outside a lot.  It's also super hot here all the time.  In order to stay hydrated, I need to have water with me all the time. But I am not always great about drinking water, so my Savvy water infuser is how I combine an attempt at getting enough water with enjoying the bountiful summer fruit, especially nectarines and berries. You can get one for less than $20 from Amazon. I also like that I can throw it into my backpack and not worry about leaking.

As always, this is stuff I actually use every day. There are no referral links and I don't make any money from this blog.
