8.18 Favorite Memories - Mudonna

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the eighteenth day of each month is "Favorite Memories."

She's divine swine, the diva of the diamond, the duchess of pork, she's the St. Paul Saint's very own awesome mascot...MUDONNA. I have a, um, you know, slight obsession with pigs and the first time we went to a St. Paul Saints game in 2009, I could not believe how awesome she was. I spent the entire game following her around, hoping for a photo op. This is the best I got.

Also, this game was in August, but it was so cold we ended up leaving at the end of the fifth inning because my lips were turning blue. Lesson learned. Always bring a blanket or two to any sporting event, regardless of the month on the calendar. 

I have been to minor league games for the Saint Paul Saints, West Michigan Whitecaps, Toledo Mud Hens, and Quad City River Bandits and I have enjoyed them all. There's lots of entertainment on and off field, so you don't have to actually watch the game!  (I think this randomly turned into an advertisement for minor league ball games.  Go with your families! Buy some nachos and try to catch t-shirts from the cannon! Don't forget your blanket!)
