Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of
the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a
little something about it. The theme for the fourteenth day of each month is "Reach."

Her world is filled with prey. There are toys, people's legs, rugs, papers, books, pens, electrical cords, invisible specks of lint, her own shadow, naturally occurring spots of color on the linoleum, and whatever else she can invent that would be fun to pounce on.

I imagine, that inside her brain, she consistently defeats the prey only to have it appear again, over and over again, in a frustrating sequence. I must GET THIS PEN, she thinks, so she shoves it on the ground, it makes a satisfyingly loud noise, and it's still. So defeated. Only to find the same damn pen in the same place the next day. It must just drive her insane.
