To nobody's surprise, Dr. BB was not feeling well for most of the weekend. Plus, it was foggy and rainy, so beyond watching holiday-themed episodes of Chopped, we didn't do much to celebrate this holiday until early this even when we went to the light show at the botanical gardens in a town not far from here. I'll be honest, for $5 a person, I wasn't expecting a lot.
But.
It really was lovely. It seemed that the cohorts most likely to be represented were children five and under and the elderly, complete with walkers and the inability to use their cell phone cameras in a timely manner. Dr. BB and I allowed ourselves to be sort of corralled into whatever direction the vulnerable populations wanted us to go.

From that point on, whenever some kid was being whiny or some old person ran one of us over, I would just say "nope" and Dr. BB would make a snarky comment about the Christmas spirit.
The holiday song of the day is A Snowflake Fell (and It Felt Like a Kiss) by Glasvegas. Dr. BB got it on a free holiday sample from iTunes and we both really like it, so it's a win-win.
