3.7 Do - A Morning Like This

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the seventh day of each month is "Do."

I’m not going to lie to you. The absolute best part of our summer schedules is that we can laze around in the morning. It is a rare morning where I get out of bed before 7:30 and then it takes us a good hour and a half to eat breakfast and get dressed.  Call me lazy, tell me that you’re jealous, tell me that I am the reason that the economy is failing, whatever. I cannot be bothered with the rushing around in the morning.  Our days usually start around 9 and I’m totally on board with that.

But the alarm went off at 6:30 this morning and I had to get up because I had actual adult responsibilities to take care of and I had to get up, shower, and eat breakfast in an hour. Ugh. But now it is currently 10:41 am and I have accomplished all of the following: dental cleaning (ugh), went to the craft store to buy thread, fabric, and zippers, picked up the key to my office at work (no more officing in the storage room!), and drank an iced coffee at a picnic table while reading the latest Terri Anne Browning book (shut it, I love these books). 

I will work the rest of the day - syllabi, spreadsheets, and email are in my immediate future, not to mention working out, grocery shopping, and writing letters to my grandmother and aunt - but I already feel like I kicked today's ass.
