We have a basic printer, a Brother HL – 2170W, that has
served us well for several years now. We do the putting electrical tape over
the printer cartridge trick to buy us extra time between cartridge refills, and
until recently, that was all the maintenance our printer needed. However, about a month ago, there was a new
flashing light pattern that indicated we need a new drum cartridge. By the time
we shelled out for a new drum and printer cartridge, we could have purchased a
new printer. Unfortunately, once we
installed the new drum, our printer kept jamming after the first page of every
printing job.
For my part, I just ignored the problem and began doing all
of my printing at the office. Ha ha! Who says burying your head in the sand isn’t
the way to solve a problem? Meanwhile,
Dr. BB was getting ever more frustrated because going to the office isn’t all that easy for him anymore, so he actually looked up how to fix this problem. Which led to this happening in our office
this morning. Which led to our printer
getting fixed! Go, Dr. BB!!
