11.14 Reach - Fitness Goals

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the fourteenth day of each month is "Reach."

March was not a good month for me in terms of my fitness goals. I was sick for a good majority of it and I certainly did not regularly get thirty minutes of activity in every day.  So for April I made myself a promise that I would make an extra special effort to get in 10,000 steps a day (as tracked by my Fitbit). So far in April I've actually failed to get those steps in four days already, but my average per day is over 11,000, so when I do hit 10,000, I frequently go above and beyond that.

(I'm such a broken record. My leg hurts a lot during the spring with the weird weather patterns and fronts moving in and out. Sometimes it's all I can do to do my job and the steps just don't come. But I swear I'm going to stop complaining about my leg and just move it. It's the only thing that will help it in the long run.)

But the weather is getting nicer, so I have my phone loaded up with podcasts and I plan on getting out for walks regularly during lunch.  Hopefully those will be the only four days when I don't meet my goal.
And I'll really know it's nice out when the city turns on the fountain!
