From the workout class at the community center. We went up and down the stairs over and over again. I know for a fact that there was a board meeting happening at the same time and I have to admit I was giggling as we pounded up the stairs like elephants for 35 minutes.

Wednesday, May 21
45-minute total body deep stretch Yoga with Adriene - I have done this one a couple times before, but it's still hard. That lizard pose is tough.

Thursday, May 22
Day off

Friday, May 23
15-minute stretch class at lunchtime (admittedly I was a few minutes late)

Saturday May 24
30-minute upper body strength with Fitness Blender
1 circuit of this standing abs workout (8 minutes) - Look, I do standing abs because I don't want to tweak my neck. This is not the right video for me because almost exercise requires you to wrench your neck around.

What workout makes you the sweatiest? As soon as I start running or climbing stairs, I start sweating like crazy!

  1. You had a great month, Engie! I confess I am a very sweaty gal, particularly when I'm doing Peloton. It's kind of gross actually. Like, you could wring my clothes out afterwards. When I change out of them they kind of thud on the floor. I don't know, it's satisfying in some way, albeit kind of gross.

    1. I am definitely entering sweaty season now with warmer temps. I am never able to wring my clothes out, though, so you're definitely getting more of a sweat on than I am!

  2. I like the stairs - jog - stairs - jog idea. Simple and doable. You did great this month.

    1. Ha. We were doing stations and each station was a minute or two. So we did stairs, other stations, and then jog and then back again. But most of the time someone was on the stairs.

  3. Well, to answer your question- running outside in summer in Florida is leaving me drenched in sweat.
I also can't stand ab workouts that hurt my neck (sooo many of them) and- Lizard is one of my favorite poses! Nice job last month, you nailed your goal.

    1. I am determined to sway all fitness instructors to standing ab workouts. I must just have terrible form because I always tweak my neck!

  4. I run so hot, so literally any exercise makes me sweaty and gross - just walking outside makes me sweaty and gross. Gardening is probably the worst, though. If I don't remember to drink enough water I get seriously unwell afterwards. I had the most satisfying back release with lizard pose last week - it is hard, but it was awesome.

    1. Ugh. Now that it's warm, I'm definitely upping my sweat output. Not fun!

  5. HIIT makes me sweat like crazy. I HATE sweating. My husband loves it. How could someone actually enjoy getting sweaty? It defies logic.

  6. I've noticed I sweat a lot more now than I used to. Some days even my yoga routine can make me sweat.

    1. Oh, sure. I start sweating as soon as my heartrate gets up and it definitely gets up during yoga classes, even fairly benign yoga classes. *sigh*

  7. Just walking outside when it's humid will do it to me.

  8. I hate doing exercises that tweak my neck, but since I'm married to a PT - I can usually get it tweaked back. The stairs thing during the meeting is funny.

  9. I love that you link the video you are doing. Its been an inspiration before and have a few new ones I like to try.

My last zumba class was very sweaty. I didnt feel too great (migraine) it was very humid and I ate too much candy beforehand. So it was sweaty but I felt good afterwards. Maybe next time I take my swimsuit and jump into the river afterwards. We'll see. I hate running so that is also sweaty.

    1. It is tricky to know what to eat before working out, isn't it? I don't want to go in there with an empty stomach, but candy is probably not the best option, either!
