Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of
the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a
little something about it. The theme for the sixteenth day of each month is "Beauty."

I pretty much failed at a lot this week. I messed up and double-booked the car to the absolute annoyance of my husband. When he had to come pick me up due to this dumbassery on my part, I asked him to please turn off Bruno Mars because OH MY GOD I HATE BRUNO MARS and as he slammed the radio button to turn it off, I knew I had made yet another error. We spent the next hour in absolute silence.
And then as I was getting dinner ready, taking the roast out of the crockpot to rest, he came over to "help" and then he started telling me what to do AS IF I HADN'T JUST BEEN DOING IT. Eventually I snapped, "I know what I'm doing, but apparently you can do it better" and just left the kitchen. And we sat at the dining room table eating our meat and potatoes in absolute silence.
Tomorrow when I wake up, I'm going to just pretend none of it happened.

I'm sorry your day was so awful. I think the pictures are gorgeous, though, and the artistic use of the cold surrounding you to symbolize the cold between you and the boy is really the most beautiful thing you've written on here yet this year.
