7.30 Contemplate - Coming Alive

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the thirtieth day of each month is "Contemplate."

Whenever I see artwork, I wonder what would happen if it animated. Would all the Santas on Christmas cards suddenly start passing out gifts or would they be sullen, half alive creatures? Would the water start pouring down into the city streets, flooding the streets and carrying away cars on its current or would it simply run down quietly into the drainage system?  Would the faceless humans wander around deaf, dumb, and blind or would they instinctively know their way around as arrogant and cocky as the rest of us?
I find myself asking these questions a lot around holidays. Cupids shooting people into lovesick incompetents, evil leprechauns absconding with all our valuables, creepy giant bunnies jumping off of greeting card displays, spiders in perfectly formed webs haunting balconies and porches, turkeys resembling human handprints gallivanting about classrooms, and reindeer with giant red noses frolicking in fields of lights.
