6.18 Favorite Memories - Little Zelda

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the eighteenth day of each month is "Favorite Memories."

She's three years old now, but in July of 2011, she was this tiny, fuzzy, cuddly little thing. She had a bad case of ear mites, the best litter box behavior you could possibly expect from a six-week old kitten, the quietest meow you have ever heard, and this short tail that came to an abrupt point at the end. We considered naming her Dagger because of the tail, but in the end Dr. BB decided that our kitty was just as unpredictably crazy as Zelda Fitzgerald, and from that moment on she was our Zellybeaner.

My father-in-law met Zelda when he helped us move from Minneapolis, so she was probably only a couple of months old at that point.  He saw her about a year later and he said, "Is that the same cat?" and I nearly laughed myself silly.

Because really.  That tail.  How did it go from short and pointy to this?  No one knows.
Just lounging.
She knows she the prettiest kitty in the world. Just ask her.
