5.21 Laughter - This Face

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the twenty-first day of each month is "Laughter."

Zelda "Most Ferocious Kitten in the World" Gimbalsh: Brushed daily and not happy about it.

She comes creeping around the corner of the couch, the pupils of her eyes giant and glowing and her tail twitching. Knowing that she is going to pounce (on me!) at any minute, I hightail it to the drawer to pull out her cat dancer toy and she immediately drops low and starts stalking it.  The humans in the house find this nightly ritual highly amusing. I will walk slowly around the kitchen and living room, twitching the toy ever so slightly, and for two, three, four minutes, nothing happens except for the strange parade of human followed by cat down low on haunches, both moving ever so slowly.

Long kitty is long. And maybe I should vacuum more often.

Then! Pounce! She will jump up, do a somersault in the air, and come down with the cardboard in her mouth. She will release it and start batting it with her furry little paw.

“Get some!” The boy human will inevitably scream, as the girl human convulses in giggles at her grumpy cat acting like a three month old kitten.
