4.6 Sky - Madison Market

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the sixth day of each month is "Sky."

We met my sister- and brother-in-law and their two kids in Madison and spent the morning at the Farmers' Market today. This amazing market, one of the largest in the country, stretches all the way around the state capitol building.
My haul from the market included about a million pictures of my niece and nephew, a couple of eggplants, red bell peppers, purple cabbage, and some cherry tomatoes.  I also enjoyed a scone and a venison meat stick (it IS Wisconsin, after all).  My nephew, age two, totally enjoyed running up and down the green spaces and wearing himself out.
It was a perfect day for the market - mid-70s, sunny, with just a slight breeze. There was a Badgers football game, an Ironman triathlon, and the market going on, so everyone was downtown and it was lovely to see everyone taking advantage of all the city. If you're ever in Madison on a Saturday morning or early afternoon, I highly recommend a trip to the market!
