3.11 The Great Outdoors - Scaredy Cat

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the eleventh day of each month is "The Great Outdoors."
****************************
She likes the idea of going outside. She'll sit here on her perch, watch the birds fly around out the window,  flick her tail when a dog walks by, and LEAVE THE DAMN SCREEN ALONE (okay, fine, she totally won't do that last thing because CATS WON'T LEAVE SCREENS ALONE and it's possible I am actually shout-y about this in real life because FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, CAT there are already holes in the screen. Um.)

But say you decide that the cat should maybe get to actually go outside and hunt and be adorable in her harness and leash? Well, if the sun is out, you get a cat who will just lay down and chill outside like she knows that you brought her outside in the hopes of exhausting some of her energy and she just wants to sit and pretend she's looking out her window.
Cell phone camera. Not the best quality, but the best camera is the one you have with you.
So it turns out that the only way to really get the cat in her total hunting awesomeness is to take her out around dusk or when it's dark, otherwise known here in Wisconsin as The Time of The Bug and you will get attacked by gnats, mosquitoes, and other bugs of questionable provenance.
Dusk. The cat likes dusk.
She sure is a pretty kitty, though.  I'll continue taking her and getting mosquito bites if she'll keep her CLAWS OFF THE DAMN SCREEN.
