It is time for another round of Cool Bloggers Walking Club (CBWC), as organized by Elisabeth. Try to walk ten minutes day and show us where you've been!

On Easter morning, I tried to find fun things I'd never noticed before on our walks. This seal on the post office and a pineapple in front of a local business made me giggle. |

I had noticed the big E+S on the day it was done, but I hadn't noticed the tiny matching one on the ground until Sunday morning. |

Sometimes I take her for a "walk," and all she really wants is to sit and chew. |

Do you try to stop at local trails when you travel? Are you yay or nay on the Love graffiti on the tree?
Isn't spring wild. I'm with you on sometimes hating the weather and then a few hours later it's like...THE BEST!
ReplyDeleteYou can really have ALL THE WEATHER in one day if you want!
DeleteDefinitely nay on graffiti on trees. Why? Same with carving stuff in trees.
ReplyDeleteLove that you went on a little hunt for new things on your walk.
It was my nod to an Easter egg hunt to try to find new things. It was fun, although I don't think Hannah was super happy with me.
DeleteWhy yes I do stop at local trails when I travel. I say yay to the love graffiti. I'm also rooting for E&S.
ReplyDeleteIt was deliciously warm here on Thurs and Fri before getting cold and windy for the weekend. Hey winter/spring won't last forever. Summer will be here someday!
I'm rooting for E&S, too. I hope I get an update on them in the future.
DeleteIt is SUMMERLIKE here today and I wore a dress with sandals. Tomorrow it will be cold again, but I'm going to enjoy my faux summer while it's here.
I'm a big NO to defacing trees. I love trees and revere them. Let them be.
ReplyDeleteHow can you walk IN SANDALS for a long walk? I'm astounded. Then again, I am old.
Hannah looks very satisfied with her stick. I love that you let Hannah just be on her walks. Sometimes a dog just wants to hang out and chew a stick.
My sandals are the most comfortable shoes I own, Nance. I prefer them to any other shoe. If I could hike in them, I would!
DeleteHannah gets lots of time to just stop and chew or smell. It's her walk and I'm just keeping her company.
Love those shoes. I would wear them.
ReplyDeleteThey are from Pendleton, which is an American company, so you might not be interested. They have low tops and high tops, though, which I think is fun!

Spring weather in the Midwest- so inconsistent. It is rough to get excited and then freeze my tail off the next day.
ReplyDeleteI don’t love graffiti in general. See what I did there? Of all the graffiti, that one is cute at least and subtle with a good message.
Depends on what I’m doing while out of town. I would have loved to run on a pretty trail yesterday while staying in a hotel for Curly’s bball tournie, but we are in downtown Milwaukee so I ran in the city. I came across Marquette’s campus which gave me an idea of where it was in relation to the city.
I love graffiti, to be honest. I just think it's amazing that people have this art inside that they just need to get out!
DeleteSometimes it's hard to get a good walk, run, or hike in when you're traveling because your schedule get so jammed. That always makes me sad. I was happy I could fit something in on Saturday morning.
That Hannah is living her best life with multiple daily walks. And opportunities to chew. Weather here is inconsistent too. It was in the mid 80s here last week, today’s high is low 60s.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's Hannah's best life. It certainly makes me a lot happier.
DeleteWalking does soooo much for my mental health.
ReplyDeleteYes! The combo of walk + dog can almost always uplift me.
DeleteYes to nature trails, no to that graffiti on the tree. Hannah is one lucky dog.
ReplyDeleteI keep telling her she's lucky when she doesn't want to go outside!!
DeleteYou have a wonderful walking route -- and a terrific walking companion!
ReplyDeleteI do! I'm so very lucky to be where I live and have such a great dog!
DeleteSpring is awful. I never like it because the weather is unpredictable and there aren't any holidays that I really really love TBH. So it's something to just get through.
ReplyDeleteMy boys are so interested in things that are spray painted on sidewalks so they would be interested in the spray painted initials. We mostly see measurements for water and gas pipes (I assume that is what they are measuring/marking off?).
It was 80 in Detroit last Thursday!!
Spring is awful. BUT! We're getting through it. It was 80 here yesterday (not today - lol) and if the forecast is to believed, it's going to take a turn for the truly lovely next week.
DeleteI see A LOT of the measurements/letters on the ground, too, for utilities. I think the boys and I could have a nice walk with Hannah where we tried to figure out what everything meant.
Local trails are a must. Vandalizing trees, even with a positive message, is not.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the rainbow. Does the paint hurt the tree or is it like when I write on my skin in pen? I need to know if I should be more upset with the graffiti than I am.
DeleteDepending on the type of paint used, it can damage the bark and/or interfere with chlorophyll production. Go ahead and channel that graffiti rage!
Deletecute shoes!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Pendleton has some adorable ones. If I get another pair, I might get some high tops.
DeleteI did force myself out on a walk when I was having a terrible day a week or so ago and it helped. It always helps. But uggggghhhh I am exhausted and in pain.
ReplyDeleteLast night when I got home from work I just told my husband he needed to walk the dog. I was tired and didn't want to! Sometimes you just gotta give yourself some slack.
