8.6 Sky - Minneapolis Day

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the sixth day of each month is "Sky."

We call them Minneapolis Winter Days when the sky is pure blue, the sun is shining brightly, but the temperature is below zero without the wind chill.  They are days when you know you should, if you were smart, huddle inside with your hot cocoa and wait for it to warm up so that you're not in danger of frostbite, but you can't resist the lure of the sun and the freshly fallen snow. You don't think about how you can't move your fingers and that you're wearing two layers of long underwear because it's just so glorious to stare at the sky and enjoy the sun on your face.
Wisconsin Winter Days are filled with grey skies, ice instead of snow, and the inability to go outside because rain and mid-30s creates conditions that would throw off even the sturdiest of Midwesterners.

So I took myself around the block and hoped my nose didn't fall off on this very first Minneapolis Day of the winter.
