12.9 Color - A Tale of Two Sides

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the ninth day of each month is "Color."
****************************
All he wanted to do was make her happy.
All she wanted to do was make him happy.

Gradually, all he wanted was to do something else, something less innocent.
All she wanted was to make him happy.

He liked it the way it was.
She wanted more out of life - a new place, new people, new job.

He grew confused by her ambitions and plans.
She grew frustrated by his inertia and attachment to a life she found stultifying and suffocating.
He grew angry that her dreams were bigger than his dreams.
She stopped including him in her dreams.

He stayed.
She left.

Years later he was still there.
She heard from someone who heard from someone else who heard from someone else who talked to him mom that he pined for her.

He was still there.
She felt guilty for her part in his lonely life.

He was still there.
She never wanted to go back.

  1. You would be so miserable right now -- and you wouldn't know me, maybe.

It's not your fault that he's stagnant.

    Love you.
