6.7 Do - Eat Cake

Bestest Friend and I are in the middle of a blog project. Each day of the month we will post a picture on a pre-determined theme and write a little something about it. The theme for the seventh day of each month is "Do."

Someone recently insinuated that I am anti-cake, which could not be further from the truth. After my virtuous lunch of a giant bowlful of vegetables, twelve pretzels and a 100-calorie pack of guacamole, and an eight-ounce serving of apple cider, I ate this.
One of my co-workers brought in a huge box of these cupcakes and took delight in walking around to each of our offices and dropping these off. It definitely improved the morale of everyone who was in the office on a Friday morning. (I don't remember Fridays being eerily quiet on campus when I was an undergrad, but Fridays are the worst around here. Saturday we frequently have athletic events that fill up campus and Sundays you'll see lots of hungover kids stumbling to the library, but on Fridays I sometimes have to check the news to make sure the apocalypse hasn't happened.)

My original plan had been to come home early this afternoon after I was finished at school and work out to make up for eating this luscious red velvet cupcake, but instead I just came home and took a nap. Apparently my virtuous nature stopped right after I consumed the carrot sticks with lunch.  I swear I will try to work out tomorrow.

  1. Your list of what you ate for lunch proved me right, Ms. 100-calorie container of guacamole.
